This competition is organized by the company under the name A. MPOURICOS SERVICES LTD hereinafter “the Organizer“. Participation in the competition is exclusively and only subject to the terms cited herein. Participating in the competition entails the unreserved acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

1. Who can participate in the competition?

Any individual residing in Cyprus or abroad can participate in the competition on his/her own behalf if said individual is at least 18 years old and has used the website of the Organizer for taxi reservation. Participation in the competition is optional and free of charge for the participants.

Employees, family members with first-degree kinship, contractors, members, or partners of the Organizer are excluded from participating in the competition.

The competition shall begin on Monday 01.03.2021 at 00:00 hours (Eastern European Time) and shall end on Saturday 01.05.2021 at 23:59 (EET).  (“Competition Period”).

2. How many times can I participate?

Each participant has the right to one (1) participation for the coupon.

The entry point for the set of reservation data to the system is of paramount importance. Also, multiple participations or the provision of false information at the data entry point for taxi reservation for the purpose of participation in the competition may lead to exclusion from the competition.  It is explicitly clarified that participation which may take place after the end of the competition, or after its extension or shortening, per case applicable, will automatically and as of right be considered void, non-existence, bearing no effect and not binding anyone, while they will grant absolutely no right to the coupon.

Each coupon bears and corresponds to a unique code with the use of which, each winner can redeem his/her discount. In order for the coupon to be valid and redeemable, the unique code it carries must be the same with the code received by the Organizer upon completion and confirmation of the taxi reservation.

Each coupon is provided for personal use only and cannot be combined with other coupons. Only one coupon can be used per taxi route. 

3. How can I participate in the competition?

A prerequisite for participating in the competition and claiming the coupon is the realization and completion of a taxi reservation through the website https://smartcyprus.taxi/. After the participant completes his/her reservation, he/she must click on the “Enter competition” button. After clicking on the “Enter competition” button and provided the participant has answered all 3 questions correctly, he/she wins a coupon worth € 7.00 (Seven Euro) which will appear automatically on the screen of each winner. It is also noted that by clicking the “Submit” button, the participant confirms the full and unreserved acceptance of all participation terms and conditions. 

The participants are solely responsible for the answers with which they take part in the competition.

4. What happens to my personal information?

The personal information necessary for taxi reservation and conducting the competition are stored and used exclusively and only for this purpose. Within this framework, data are subject to electronic processing and used in compliance with the legal provisions on the protection of such data.

Data are kept only for so long as it is necessary for the context of this declaration and compliance with the rules of applicable law. After the reservation’s and competition’s purpose have been fulfilled, data are erased.

No disclosure to third parties by the transmission of data is carried out.

By completing the reservation and participating in the competition, each participant is deemed to consent and voluntarily provide his/her personal information for processing by the data controller, namely the company A. MPOURICOS SERVICES LTD.

The processing of personal information is performed pursuant to the provisions in the General Regulation and other standing legislation on the Protection of Personal Data. Pursuant to the provisions in articles 13 up to and including 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation, you reserve, as subjects of the data, the right to be informed and the right to access the personal data regarding your person.

Moreover, you reserve, pursuant to the conditions cited therein and the other legal specifications, the right to rectification, pursuant to article 16 of the General Data Protection Regulation; the right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’), pursuant to article 17 of GDPR; the right to restriction of processing, pursuant to article 18 of GDPR; the right to data portability, pursuant to article 20 of GDPR and the right to object to processing, pursuant to article 21 of GDPR. You may exercise your rights at any time, by sending a relevant request to the e-mail address info@smartcyprus.taxi. Moreover, the subjects of the data reserve the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority, pursuant to the legislation above.

5. Is there anything else I should consider?

A prerequisite for the use of the coupon is the successful completion of a taxi reservation. Individual coupons are personal, non-transferable, and non-inheritable. It is not possible for them to be paid in cash or be redeemed against other goods, or for the coupon to be replaced or exchanged, even in the case they are stolen, lost, or altered.

It is also noted that the coupon cannot be redeemed for short distances (local routes less than 40 kilometers), tour reservations, and travel packages.

In the case where individual terms included in the present terms for participating are or become ineffectual, this fact does not affect the force and effect of the other terms for participating.

The Organizer reserves the right to amend the participation terms and to definitely or provisionally interrupt the competition on grounds of material reasons which would jeopardize the integrity of the competition, or in case the Organizer is so ordered by a public authority. 

Moreover, the Organizer can void successful participations in the case where the information provided by participants is incomplete, offend the image of the Organizer, public morality or fair practice, public decency, etc. The Organizer bears no liability and cannot be held responsible for technical or other problems outside his sphere of influence. Participants/winners do not thus gain or acquire absolutely any right on the trademarks and other distinctive signs of the Organizer. Due process is excluded.
